personality: Tempest is a wild thing. She is very clever and often escapes enclosures if she has enough time to figure out how. She does not like to be locked up. She is really hard to handle, but once she trusts a person and has bonded to them, she becomes a bit more docile when she needs to be. She can be very protective, and becomes suspicious of any new people or animals, or even objects until she is sure it is not a threat. She is fiesty and tries to do what she wants when she wants. Tempest has been known to throw tantrums when she gets upset, so it is best not to make her mad. however, she is usually quite sweet, all her mischief aside. The person she bonds to becomes everything to her. She and Samson have a special sort of bond, despite only recently acquiring her. Her fiery spirit caught his attention, but the way she seems to read his emotion and needs is what made him know he had to keep her.

Oh, one last thing; She would probably kill for a sugar cube.

history: Tempest was born to a mare who survived Hurricane Katrina, hence her name. She was sold quickly for her gorgeous markings, but the second owner wasn't quite ready to own a horse. They were did not know proper care and were irresponsible. Luckily, before things got bad, they ended up having selling her. She lived on the new ranch in Louisiana for years, the owners taking good care of her, though she was always hard to handle. Sadly, the ranch has been having financial difficulties recently. Sam happened to be working for them as a stablehand when Hurricane Isaac hit. Isaac may not have been as bad as expected, but it decastated the ranch. The owners were hit hard with flooding and damage to their buildings and property. They had to move to a new location, but they could not keep all their animals because the new place was smaller. Now, Sam had been working as a stablehand and had started growing a strong bond with the feisty mare. They made an agreement that if he helped them move he could have her. So, that's how it went down, and he's been her official owner ever since.
