[Johan Clark]

Johan bit his lip and he poured a bottle of peroxide over his back as he stood in the shower. His father had gotten drunk last night, more so than usual, and for Johan, that spelled trouble. Normally the boy was good and hiding his face from his fathers blows but his time his father his him right in the mouth splitting his lip open, and also giving him a black eye added onto the cuts and slashes from the belt he was becoming oh to familiar with. The hard leather, the shape, the color. Just thinking about it made him shake and his body hurt.

Johan slowly climbed out of the shower and got dressed carefully putting on the black long sleeved shirt and his hooded A Skylit Drive jacket. He winced in pane as the fabric stuck to his open wounds. he looked in the mirror and his face, a single tear ran down his face before he shot his arm up quickly to wipe it away. He reached down for his school bag and headed quickly out of the door, making sure to not let his father see him.

He drove to the university getting out slowly and walking to his first class. Everywhere he went people stared. Its not like they knew his father was abusive, most of them probably thought he just got in a fight or that the local thugs had beat him up. But of course no one here in Duke Hills knew him yet. he had just moved here, with all these unfamiliar faces, oh and then there was the fact that he was gay, which made him even more of an outcast.

He slumped down into his seat quietly as people turned around to look at him and then proceed to turn back and talk to there friends. Come on wasn't this college? What was with the stupid pity little high school and middle school crap? They acted like they had never seen a guy with a black eye before. Johan just sat there and took a deep breath before resting his head on his arms over his desk. Another tear escaping down his cheek.

[Kaite]

Yawning Kaite rolled over and turned off her alarm. “Sometimes I would love to give school the finger…” She mumbled as she rolled out of bed. Kaite had to get up two hours early to feed the horses and Roake. She fumbled with her clothes, teal spaghetti strap shirt jeans and her usual boots. She passed in the kitchen to feed the beast of a dog, “Oh calm down Roake!” She giggled as he thumped his tail on the cabinets and licked at her hands. After placing his food on the floor she jogged to the barn. Whinnies and nickers greeted her as she wheeled out the feed cart. An hour later she had fed and spot cleaned the barns and was jogging back to the house to brag her food.

Her truck roared into the parking lot as she whipped into an open parking space. She jumped out of the old truck cursing as she ran to make it to class on time. Some people shouted out greeting while others yelled for her to watch out. Panting she slowed at the door long enough to catch her breath and smooth her curly hair. She strode calmly into the room most of the seats were taken, her brown eyes scanned the rows until she saw an open seat next to a kid in black. Walking quickly up the stairs she sat next to the person slumped over the desk. She set her bag down and pulled out her note book. Her eyes wondered the person next to her. “Umm hi, I’m Kaitlyn.” She said shyly it wasn’t always easy for her to speak to new people, but it hadn’t been too bad of a day so far.

Johan looked up at the girl wiping away his tears quickly hoping she wouldn't 'notice them. He sniffed slightly and nodded. "J-Johan" he said. He wasn't one for words but he let a small smile escape his face. It was a sort of fake, saddened smile. He was trying his hardest to look as happy as he could even if he really dying inside.

This room was so freaking hot he wanted to take off his jacket but he didn't want anyone too see the cuts and bruises covering them, course it couldn't be much worse considering his face looked like he had just been hit by a train. He bit the inside of his lip tearing layers of his lip off. A highly unattractive trait but it was just a nervous habit now.

He heard the door to the class room and looked up to notice the sub walking in. Thank goodness his first day and he had a sub, and not to mention a cute sub. He smiled slightly at the sub before looking at the girl again. She had pretty brown hair that JoJo admired very much. There was the most thing JoJo liked most about girls, was there hair. It was always so beautiful, except for the few exceptions of some of the girls who did not take proper care of themselves.

He sighed and looked back up to the front of the room as the sub began to speak. He listened for just a bit before getting bored. Johan rested his head in his had as he listened. He hoped today wouldn't be to hard, he wasn't really in the mood for having to work to hard.

Johan couldn't bare the heat anymore. He reached around and took off his jacket. Some of the cuts sticking to the fiber of the jacket. he winced in pain as the scabs that had formed to the fabric ripped off slightly. He shook his head slightly and rested his jacket on the back of his chair. A few cuts on his arms bleeding slightly.
